Det er sjældent, man møder større nytænkning i dansk landskabsfotografi. Danskere har en nogenlunde fælles forståelse af, hvordan Danmark skal ses - guldaldermalerne har ikke levet forgæves!
Måske derfor skal der en udlænding med friske øjne til at vise os landskabet, som det også kan ses, og det er præcis hvad der lykkes for Juan de Dios i sine billeder, der både er optaget i store og små byer og rundt omkring i de danske landskaber. Hvilke mageløse iagttagelser! Nye linier og former og farver dukker op for vores undrende øje: er det virkelig Danmark?Det er det, og det danske landskab vil efter dette aldrig blive helt det samme.

Juan de Dios catalized the Danish country and urban landscapes unique variety of coulors and textures and turned them into magical expressions of places, people, situations that normally we do not see, but still ARE there alive, waiting for us to catch them.
